Tummy tuck, also known as a abdominoplasty, is a surgical procedure designed to increase the skin tension on the stomach, when the skin is flaccid or when there are fat-layer's lesions. You may be interested in this type of operation for many reasons:

to improve skin tension and elasticity
to improve your muscle and skin tone (e.g. after pregnancy)
to remove a large fat deposit
to remove loose skin on stomach area

Technical description of abdominal surgery
The surgery consists of transversal incision in the skin in suprabubic area, then the separation of the skin-fat layer from the muscle aponeurosis to costal arches. The navel is placed in a correct area after the stomachs skin has tension. Abdominal wall tension is performed through the wrinkling of straight muscles of abdomen. The skin excess on the stomach is resected in the hip joint flexion position. The margins of wound are sutured in bland incision line similar to a "W'. The operation ends with putting on a pressure dressing in the hip joint flexion position. Type of anaesthetic - General endotracheal anaesthesia.

Postoperative management:

Directly after the operation- (2-3 days) placement of a patient in hip joint flexion position for 2-3 days, soft pressure dressing.
After about 3 days - setting the patient in motion .
Result - very good results after 1-2 months.

You have to reserve 4 - 5 days for this surgery.
